•Defined roles for each manager including KPIs
•Employ CFO and IT Manager
•Drafted business plans for each division of the business
•Design and Implement KPI reporting (ensure integrates with capabilities of data systems)
•Design and Implement meeting protocols to ensure implementation and facilitate communication and coaching
Results:
•All staff have clarity on the direction of the business
•All managers clear on their role and responsibilities
•CEO freer to carry out his role as others step up their role responsibilities
•There is a career development path for all to see
•Learning and Development programs being put in place
•Company has a fabulous platform for growth
The learning's:
•If you want to grow you must stop and rebuild the foundation
•Repetition of message and sign on is essential otherwise you have, at best, those going through the motions. At worst, you have saboteurs!
•You can only grow as fast as the person on the margin of the business…put the time in to communicate, train and coach
•Always believe more in the person than they can believe in themselves
•Change comes slowly over time and patience will be rewarded
What they say:
“ic leadership has helped me to develop a real understanding and the skills to manage a business unit”.
